IBM & Microsoft open new generative AI, cloud tech “experience zones” – PEX Vendor News

IBM and Microsoft open new generative AI, cloud tech experience zones

IBM and Microsoft announced the opening of three new “experience zones” within IBM’s Client Innovation Centers. These are designed to help global clients across industries find new ways to derive value from generative AI, hybrid cloud and other Microsoft products and technologies, according to a press release. The new zones are located in geographic locations that expand IBM’s reach and ability to engage with clients to take advantage of Microsoft’s technologies and explore business growth and innovation opportunities, it added. The new zones are located in Bucharest, Romania, Buffalo, New York and Leicester, UK.

“The IBM-Microsoft Experience Zones will give clients and prospects an opportunity to explore potential solutions that leverage the strengths of both organizations,” commented Brian Wood, research director, global IT services and systems integration services at IDC. “The combined tools and platforms for data and AI show synergy in many environments and business processes.”

The zones will grant IBM clients access to technologies including Microsoft Azure, Azure Open AI Service, Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Dynamics. Clients can also experiment with select IBM technologies that run on Microsoft Azure, including IBM Maximo Application Suite. “IBM’s inaugural Microsoft Experience Zone [in Bangalore, India] has empowered customers to harness the full potential of the Microsoft Cloud, generative AI and Copilot, to enable business transformation, and we are thrilled that IBM is launching three additional IBM-Microsoft Experience Zones,” said Dinis Couto, GM, GSI commercial partners at Microsoft.

Celonis appoints Christian Tabois to lead Benelux operations

Process mining and process intelligence vendor Celonis appointed Christian Tabois (left) to lead the company’s operations in the Benelux region. Tabois will be responsible for the strategic growth of the company and expanding and strengthening Celonis’ position in Benelux, according to a press release. “With his deep industry expertise and the engagement of our partner ecosystem, Christian will help customers find and capture even more of the value hiding in their processes,” said Philippe Mathieu, SVP EMEA and APAC at Celonis.

“I am excited to begin this new chapter at Celonis,” added Tabois. “During my conversations with customers, they regularly express a need for greater end to end visibility and control of the processes that drive their business. The Celonis Process Intelligence Platform provides a smart, scalable, intuitive and open platform that enables companies to achieve this goal.”

Celonis also announced an enterprise expansion agreement with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (SFMI), the largest property and casualty insurer in South Korea, to enhance the company’s operational excellence.

Nintex accelerates digital transformation for public sector agencies

Process intelligence vendor Nintex announced new capabilities to enable public sector agencies to drive efficiency and positive citizen experiences through automation. Nintex revealed Nintex Licensing and Permitting, a new pre-built solution designed to reduce the time, cost and errors associated with license and permit processes for state and local governments, according to a press release. The new solution also enables digital-first government initiatives, including easy-to-use digital and mobile access to services for citizens, it added.

“When it comes to government services today, citizens expect the same quick, personalized and convenient experiences that they receive from the private sector,” said Alison Brooks, research VP, worldwide smart, sustainable cities program at IDC. “To meet these expectations, government agencies have turned to technology to modernize but face significant costs and challenges related to technical debt. The ability to leverage pre-built solutions designed for specific government use cases provides state and local agencies with a flexible and cost-effective tool to modernize their experiences.”

Apromore unveils Compliance Center to transform operational risk management with process intelligence

Process mining and business process improvement technology provider Apromore announced major updates to its platform including Apromore Compliance Center, a dedicated module designed to streamline compliance management and reduce associated risks and costs. In addition, Apromore version 10.1 introduces several other capabilities and updates including generative AI-enabled Copilot, Variant Comparison and KPI & Metrics Center.

“Apromore Compliance Center marks a paradigm shift in enabling organizations to navigate the complexities of today’s regulatory landscape,” said Marcello La Rosa, CEO and co-founder of Apromore. “With Compliance Center we are empowering businesses to perform automated control testing at scale, root-cause compliance breaches with process intelligence, simulate the impact of process changes on control effectiveness and enable continuous compliance monitoring. Altogether, this provides a more robust and insightful control framework for our customers, while significantly reducing the costs associated with regulatory adherence.”

Kula debuts hiring platform with purpose-built AI for recruiting

Recruiting technology provider Kula launched an “all-in-one” hiring platform that leverages generative AI to assist recruiters in sourcing, screening, scheduling and capturing interview feedback with prospective hires. Featuring an AI-powered analytics dashboard, the platform aims to transform the challenging and time-consuming aspects of recruitment processes, the firm stated.

“We have our sights set on personalizing and automating the hiring process by deepening AI integration and expanding AI to solve use-cases around candidate search, rediscovery, assessments, scheduling and forecasting,” commented Achuthanand Ravi, CEO and co-founder of Kula. Recruiting teams are looking for bundled tools built with efficiencies enabled by AI and designed intuitively by people who understand how they use products, added Piruze Sabuncu, partner at Square Peg.
