Microsoft, Accenture & Avanade unveil Copilot business transformation practice
Microsoft, Accenture and Avanade are launching a copilot business transformation practice and co-investing in new capabilities, solutions and training to help organizations reinvent business functions with generative AI, agentic AI and Copilot technologies. The Copilot business transformation practice, consisting of 5,000 professionals from Accenture and Avanade supported by Microsoft product specialists, will provide technology and industry experience to help accelerate and expand their use of Copilot and agents across enterprises, according to a press release.
The companies will collaborate on AI and Copilot agent templates, extensions, plugins and connectors to help organizations leverage their data and generative AI to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and drive growth. They will also help companies leverage Microsoft’s generative AI-powered security capabilities to elevate the efficiency of their security operations.

IBM expands AI accelerator offerings, collaborates with AMD
IBM and American multinational technology company AMD have formed a new collaboration to deploy AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators as a service on IBM Cloud. This offering, which is expected to be available in the first half of 2025, aims to enhance performance and power efficiency for generative AI models and high-performance computing (HPC) applications for enterprise clients. This collaboration will also enable support for AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators within IBM’s watsonx AI and data platform, according to a press release.
“As enterprises continue adopting larger AI models and datasets, it is critical that the accelerators within the system can process compute-intensive workloads with high performance and flexibility to scale,” said Philip Guido, EVP and chief commercial officer at AMD.
AMD and IBM Cloud are committed to committed to bringing the power of AI to enterprise clients, helping them prioritize their outcomes and ensuring they have the power of choice when it comes to their AI deployments, added Alan Peacock, general manager of IBM Cloud. “Leveraging AMD’s accelerators on IBM Cloud will give our enterprise clients another option to scale to meet their enterprise AI needs, while also aiming to help them optimize cost and performance.”
Nintex launches Nintex Apps to streamline application development
Process automation vendor Nintex launched Nintex Apps – a new application development product that enables business users, IT teams, process experts and Nintex partners to build and deploy personalized, business-critical applications. Nintex Apps connects with Nintex workflow and document generation products, enabling businesses to create purpose-built applications that streamline complex workflows and processes, according to a press release. Its features enable users to:
- Improve engagement by building custom applications connected to business-critical workflows.
- Unify access to data for internal teams and customers.
- Simplify the development, deployment and governance of business applications and workflows through a single platform.
“The launch of Nintex Apps is a meaningful step forward in our long-term vision of providing a single platform and integrated experience for end-to-end process automation powered by AI,” said Niranjan Vijayaragavan, chief product officer at Nintex.

FlowForma appoints John Murphy as new CEO
Digital process automation vendor FlowForma announced the appointment of John Murphy as new CEO. GBTEC receives EU funding to develop process orchestration
Process automation vendor GBTEC has been granted financial aid from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) for its research and development project AID OPS: Advanced Integrations to Drive Orchestration of Processes seamlessly. The aid is co-funded by the European Union (EU) through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The AID OPS project aims to develop a no-code platform that enables citizen developers to design and deploy business solutions in medium and large organizations. The platform will integrate orchestration tools, robotic process automation (RPA), advanced integrations and data analytics, all assisted by AI. “With the implementation of AID OPS, companies are expected to optimize their internal processes, reduce operational costs and improve efficiency in managing their operations,” stated GBTEC. “The platform will facilitate the adoption of advanced technologies without the need for deep programming knowledge, empowering employees to actively contribute to the digital transformation of their organizations.
