Appian’s new AI integration tool simplifies government procurement
Appian has integrated ProcureSight with its Requirements Management tool in the Appian Government Acquisition suite, aiming to streamline the government procurement process using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and semantic search. This integration enables acquisition professionals to build precise requirements packages more efficiently. It enables the user to centralize award, vendor, solicitation and protest data from multiple sources.
Using generative AI, the tool simplifies the research phase, which is crucial in federal procurement, but often time-consuming. Using semantic search, ProcureSight brings highly relevant historical data to users, while an AI chatbot pinpoints specific information, saving hours of manual research.
The integration also enables faster document drafting based on collected data, enhancing competition and reducing vendor pricing by clearly defining contract requirements. This marks a significant step in helping government agencies manage complex procurement processes more accurately and quickly.

IBM expands Apptio portfolio on Microsoft Azure to assist with digital transformations
IBM is expanding its Apptio suite - covering enterprise agile planning, IT financial management and cloud FinOps - on Microsoft Azure to help businesses manage rising tech costs and new AI demands. By bringing IBM Targetprocess to the Azure Marketplace, IBM enables finance and tech teams to manage budgets, align workforce resources and achieve visibility across projects, directly integrated with Azure DevOps.
This expansion makes IBM’s software, including offerings like Aspera on Cloud and watsonx.ai, available in 14 additional countries on Azure, giving companies streamlined access to IBM’s tools while using Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitments.
“Expanding IBM Targetprocess to the Azure Marketplace, along with more IBM software, allows us to support clients’ digital transformation journeys," said Nick Otto, IBM’s Head of Global Strategic Partnerships.
SAP Signavio solutions available on AWS marketplace to enhance digitization
SAP has expanded its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) by making SAP Signavio solutions available on AWS Marketplace. This aims to enhance digital transformation for joint customers, combining SAP Signavio’s powerful process optimization tools with AWS’s flexible cloud infrastructure. The SAP Signavio solutions include Process Manager, Process Intelligence, and Journey-to-Process Analytics, among others, all designed to help organizations manage, analyze and transform their business processes more effectively.
This listing on AWS Marketplace simplifies access for AWS customers, enabling them to manage subscriptions easily and gain better oversight of IT expenditures. By centralizing procurement and offering options like private pricing and consolidated billing, AWS Marketplace helps businesses accelerate decision-making and optimize budgets. "Joining the AWS Marketplace marks another significant milestone in our collaboration, elevating our commitment to delivering exceptional value," said Mani Pirouz, Chief Business Officer of SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX.
The collaboration also opens new growth opportunities for SAP Signavio through AWS Marketplace Growth initiatives, including automated co-selling and simplified invoicing. According to Chris Grusz, Managing Director of Technology Partnerships at AWS, AWS Marketplace helps "accelerate ERP cloud transformation" for customers by providing a frictionless experience.
G-Cloud 14 framework launches with expanded cloud options for the public sector
The UK government has introduced G-Cloud 14, the latest iteration of its cloud procurement framework designed to simplify cloud service adoption across the public sector. Aimed at government agencies, healthcare providers, local councils and educational institutions, G-Cloud 14 expands the range of available services and prioritizes accessibility for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This offers public organizations a wider range of cloud hosting, software and support solutions on a pay-as-you-go basis, making it easier to procure secure technology.
Returning G-Cloud supplier Defense.com is among the approved providers, now offering enhanced cyber security solutions under the new framework. Their services include round-the-clock threat detection, vulnerability scanning and managed detection and response tools to address the rising cyber threats that public organizations face. With 52 percent of public sector entities citing skill shortages and resource limitations in cybersecurity, Defense.com’s offerings aim to reduce strain on in-house teams by providing managed services tailored for the sector's needs.
G-Cloud 14’s expanded supplier base supports a competitive marketplace, empowering public sector organizations to access high-value solutions while controlling costs. Microsoft has also agreed to adopt Apptio's capabilities in parts of their own organization.
