David Campos is the former President for the Americas of GCP Applied Technologies Specialty Construction Chemicals (SCC) business. GCP is a $1B revenue global company focused on cement additives, concrete admixtures and infrastructure, commercial and residential building materials, which was recently acquired by Saint-Gobain. In this role, David was the P&L owner of GCP’s largest business unit, Specialty Construction Chemicals (SCC) and the Verifi® technology platform. He led the turnaround of this business unit, which contributed to GCP’s successful exit. Prior to joining GCP, David was the President of Serta Simmons Bedding Canada (SSB), an Advent International Private Equity portfolio company. As general manager, he led the turnaround of the Canadian business. David first joined SSB in January 2019 as Chief Transformation Officer. In that capacity he helped frame and launch the company’s overall growth agenda and was instrumental in leading the company’s strategic growth priority focused on new and omni channels. Previously, David served as Vice President and General Manager of Kimberly Clark Professional for Latin America (B2B). His career with Kimberly Clark spanned 10 years in various B2C roles, including Country Manager for Spain and Portugal, Sales Director for the U.S. Costco business, and Director of Corporate Strategy. David was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Co., based in the Johannesburg, Chicago, and Bogota offices. During his seven-year tenure with McKinsey he focused on leading large-scale performance transformations across multiple industries and co-founded the Sub-Saharan Operations practice. David began his career as an Engineer with Procter & Gamble. David holds a master’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was awarded Fulbright and Leaders for Global Operations fellowships. He also holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Born in Colombia, David is married to Cecilia, an Argentine. They have two daughters. David is an avid marathoner, having completed five of the six Abbott World Majors.
