VP - Enterprise Data & Analytics American Modern

Dr. Elizabeth Barth-Thacker is the Vice President of Enterprise Data & Analytics, responsible for developing and executing the company's data and analytics strategy, data and AI governance, and enablement. Since joining American Modern in 2021, she has successfully driven the company's data and analytics strategy, leading the cloud data transformation and AI initiatives.

Under her leadership, the company has achieved significant milestones, including the successful implementation of cloud-based data solutions and the increased development of advanced analytics and AI capabilities. These initiatives have enabled American Modern to unlock new insights, drive data-driven decision making, and stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving industry.

A seasoned leader with a passion for data-driven decision making, Elizabeth brings over a decade of experience in strategy, technology, business optimization, analytics, and innovation from her previous roles in the health insurance industry. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer for Miami Children's Health Plan at Nicklaus Children's Health System.

Elizabeth's expertise spans product, operations, technology, and data & analytics transformations, with a focus on developing data-driven leaders and enabling business decisions that drive growth and exceptional customer experiences. She holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a research focus on Data Driven Decision Making , Masters in Data Analytics, Business Administration and Cyber Security Management (2025).

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys golfing and cheering on the Miami Heat. She resides in Miami, Florida, with her husband and pet Frenchie Mickey.
