John Townsell

John Townsell is an accomplished operations executive with over 16 years’ experience across ten industries maximizing profit and optimizing financial performance while expanding market share. Prior to the post of Managing Director and Vice President, Enterprise Transformation at OneMain Financial, John held a number of increasingly responsible roles in executive and general management, including Hershey, MasterCard, Swiss Re, Deloitte and Boeing delivering exponential contribution to cash flow and SG&A savings. As a senior leader in his field, he is known for his strong Lean transformation, business process management, and change management skills, increasing organizational capacity through automating complex processes and helping organizations/clients reduce their operating costs. John earned an MBA from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, IA. He has also obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma black belt, Prosci change management, and PMI project management professional. When John is not impacting top and bottom-line performance, he can be seen volunteering, golfing, traveling, and enjoying quality time with his wife and their two children.
