Champions are no stranger to the OPEX Week stage. Having featured former gold medal-winning, record breaking track athletes in 2023 and 2024, this year we dive into the pool and prepare to welcome Regan Smith as our Star Speaker.
Regan's rise to superstardom has been nothing short of meteoric. Having already set five world records this year, including in the 100m backstroke, the Women's 4x100 Medley Relay and the 200m backstroke (short course), 22-year old Regan left the Paris Olympics this summer with 5 medals - 3 Silvers and one gold each in the Women's 4x100 Medley Relay and the Mixed 4x100 Medley Relay. In December alone, she has added to that tally with a further 7 medals, including 4 golds, at the Short Course World Championships in Budapest - breaking one of her own world records in the process. In a sport where legends like Phelps and Ledecky have famously dominated medal tables and headlines, Regan's own achievements are still, rightfully, breaking through.
Regan will join us on stage on the evening of 28th January, for a fireside chat exploring her unique experience of achieving so much success in such a short space of time. In front of an audience whose job it is to compress multi-year transformations to deliver short-term wins, the example that Regan will provide has real relevance. Expect a wide-ranging conversation, covering everything from the ever-relevant themes of resilience and high-level performance delivery, to competing on a global stage at such a young age - and alongside so many established legends.
Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Regan.
