Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly prominent role in various elements of process excellence. From its game-changing impact on digital transformation and operational efficiency to shaping modern business process management (BPM) and enhancing process mining, evolving AI is one of the most significant technological trends of the modern business era.

The majority of business leaders (89 percent) surveyed in the 2023 Process Optimization Report from Celonis are actively implementing AI. However, 72 percent are concerned that process shortcomings could hinder their AI success. The advancement of AI sparks several important debates – ranging from application and understanding to ethics and regulation. Regardless, its growing pervasiveness in today’s organizations is undeniable, introducing the need for AI knowhow at all levels of business operations.
