Coca-Cola signs deal to drive network transformation across Europe
Consumer goods giant Coca-Cola announced a multi-year partnership with Systal Technology Solutions to drive its network transformation journey across Europe. Under the agreement, Systal will support more than 6,500 devices in 300 locations across 11 European countries, according to a press release. The new partnership will provide Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) with business continuity across its manufacturing and distribution network infrastructure, it added.
“We are excited to partner with Systal, a company known for its expertise in network infrastructure solutions. This contract will significantly enhance our operational efficiency and allow us to better serve our customers and stakeholders,” said Tim Davies, director of infrastructure and network services at CCEP.
Deloitte recognizes women trailblazers in process mining
Deloitte India hosted a closed-door event this week celebrating women trailblazers in the field of process mining. It was support by Women in Process Mining (WIPM), a community designed for women in process mining to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence and pave the way for process mining together. The event explored the factors contributing to the current developments in process mining as well as the power of AI and its impact. It also featured discussions on the importance of collaboration and shared experiences for creating inclusive environments and overcoming challenges to explore the true power of process mining and its efficiencies.
“Women leaders can play a crucial role in advancing the field of process mining by bringing diverse perspectives and contributing to growth and innovation, thereby creating a positive impact on society,” said Neha Bajpai, director (process mining and transformation) at Deloitte India.
Women in the field of process mining create additional opportunities for an inclusive and equitable industry where everyone can thrive and contribute to innovation and success, added Vivek Bhamodkar, partner, Deloitte India. “Process mining has created a wave in the industry to take a measured approach towards processes and drive transformations and women leaders are accelerating the pace.”

Christine Valmy reshapes operational excellence standards across business lines
Beauty industry brand Christine Valmy has revolutionized its operations and customer journey through the adoption of a no-code platform from Creatio. By embracing a composable architecture, Christine Valmy has successfully customized and automated business procedures, establishing a centralized relationship management hub that enhances business functionality, according to a press release. In-depth analytics further improves the company’s ability to cultivate long-term relationships and drive success, it added.
“We now have the capability to uncover overlaps between business lines and audiences, as well as analyze purchase behavior patterns, empowering us to tailor our offerings and enhance customer satisfaction,” said Erin Silvetti, chief marketing officer at Christine Valmy.

Amazon Same-Day Delivery site earns sustainability certification
One of Amazon’s Same-Day Delivery sites in Sacramento, California (known as SCA5) has made history as North America’s first-ever fulfillment center to earn the “Zero Carbon Certification” from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). The certification process requires a building to achieve energy and embodied carbon reduction targets, and be powered by 100 percent renewable energy, according to an Amazon blog.
“We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment with Amazon and the team of dedicated individuals who made SCA5 the first fulfillment center in North America to receive our ambitious Zero Carbon Certification,” said Lindsay Baker, CEO of the ILFI. “Committed companies like Amazon can drive the decarbonization of the building industry and show other companies how to act now to reduce supply chain carbon emissions.”
John Tagawa, VP of Amazon Logistics, wrote. “I’m thrilled to share a milestone in Amazon’s journey to decarbonize our operations and lead the industry toward a more sustainable future. From using low-carbon concrete and recycled materials to installing rooftop solar and an all-electric HVAC system, we’re aiming to minimize environmental impact while still delivering lightning-fast service to our customers.”
AXA XL appoints Kathleen Ziegler as new chief operations officer
Insurance and risk management firm AXA XL appointed Kathleen Ziegler as its new chief operations officer (COO) for its Americas’ insurance business. Ziegler will assume responsibility for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of AXA XL’s Americas insurance operations and will be responsible for leading successful transformation and technology initiatives across the region, it added.
“Kathleen has an impressive track record at top insurance companies driving operational excellence, transforming large teams and business units and fostering innovation,” commented Lucy Pilko, CEO of AXA XL, Americas. “With our recent restructuring to better serve our clients, Kathleen’s expertise will be particularly valuable to us. Kathleen will play a crucial role in this transformation by providing strategic leadership and operational expertise to ensure that our client-focused approach is seamlessly integrated into all aspects of our business. Community event aims to make BPM “sexy again”
An upcoming community event hopes to help make BPM governance “sexy again” as it explores integrating process mining in future-ready frameworks. The event, held in Munich on July 16, will discuss the latest technologies, best practices and innovations in the field of process management, digitization and automation. Dr. Thomas Kreuzer, researcher and PhD Candidate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology, is among those speaking.

American Airlines lists operational performance as a sustainability priority
American Airlines released its 2023 Sustainability Report, documenting its work to advance the company’s strategy to address climate change and accelerate the broader solutions needed to decarbonize aviation. The report identified four priority sustainability issues: operational performance and customer satisfaction, safety, support for team members and climate change and fuel efficiency.
“American’s goal to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 is the right one, but it won't be easy,” said Jill Blickstein, chief sustainability officer at American Airlines. “Our report describes the concrete steps we have taken and sets the stage for the hard work in the years ahead. American is committed to working with our partners inside and beyond the aviation industry to get us and our industry on a path to meet these global challenges.”
