PEX Week Day 3: Data, Analytics and Sustainable Innovation
Add bookmarkThe third and final day of track sessions began today at PEX Week 2015 with "Harnessing the Power of Your Organization: Business Insights, Data & Analytics" presented by Justin Bundick, Manager, Enterprise Performance Management at Southwest Airlines. Put succinctly, knowledge is power, and with most organizations now sitting on potentially valuable piles of digital information, the question is not if, but when will you decide to capitalize on it? Justin shared the Southwest Data & Analytics success story to a mesmerised audience.
Also touted as a particular highlight was the Awards Winner’s Panel, in which many of our winners from yesterday evening’s glitzy PEX Awards Ceremony answered questions of our live audience on their individual projects, the successes they’ve enjoyed and the challenges they’ve overcome.
Adobe Systems gave a presentation entitled "Breaking through the Noise. Using Creative Design and New Media to Increase Business Process Improvement Participation, Adoption and Sustainability" to a packed room. The presentation, given by Devin Rickard, Head of Change Management, Office of the Global Controller, Adobe, outlined and explained how, with today’s over-saturation of change and initiatives, it’s possible to break through the noise and the busywork to ensure your process improvement efforts are heard, received and auctioned.
Additional highlights included Oracle’s "Every Six Sigma Journey can use a Guide", Ameriprise’s "Deploying Lean and Continuous Improvement to Transform Culture" and "Innovating Through Process Excellence: The Catalent Journey", presented by none other than Sridhar Krishnan, our PEX Awards Program Director of the Year.
And that’s it for our track sessions at PEX Week 2015. We would like to thank all of our speakers, chairpeople and delegates for making this an insightful, fun and rewarding event! Stay tuned over the coming weeks for video interviews taken on site by our Editor, Craig Sharp, a PEX Week Highlights video and of course news on the 2016 event.
