Celonis partners with UK Cabinet Office to streamline hiring processes

Process mining and process intelligence vendor Celonis announced a strategic partnership with the UK Cabinet Office to improve the efficiency of its internal processes, including talent acquisition. As part of the project, the Cabinet Office is collaborating with Celonis to support the Shared Services for Government in streamlining and replacing around 280 siloed departmental-based legacy IT systems, enabling the team to identify roadblocks or out-of-date processes as well as highlight how cross-departmental processes can be optimized, according to a press release.

“It is essential that government operations run smoothly without being bogged down by inefficient processes,” said Rupal Karia, country leader UK&I at Celonis. “We are proud to collaborate with the Cabinet Office on this project, ensuring they can swiftly and efficiently onboard new civil servants, streamline their background computing systems and receive independent advice on operational practices.”

Celonis also recently announced the release of Process Collaboration Agent, powered by Rollio, to accelerate decision-making and improve overall process optimization. Process Collaboration Agent helps teams engage effectively and work from a single and shared source of truth by resolving process exceptions through agent-assisted, inter-department collaboration, using a natural language interface.

Accenture acquires digital twin technology to enhance modern banking

Accenture acquired a digital twin technology platform for banks developed by Percipient, a Singapore-based FinTech company. The acquisition enhances Accenture’s existing banking modernization capabilities, helping financial services clients in Asia Pacific accelerate the reinvention of their core systems, foster innovation and drive growth, according to a press release. Percipient’s platform serves as a digital twin (or virtual duplicate) of banks’ legacy and modern systems, integrating and unifying the data from each one into a single-real time hub. This aims to reduce the challenges that many banks face around core modernizations by simplifying the application of data and enabling faster development of new products and services, all without overhauling existing systems or disrupting operations.

“Banks’ core systems are often decades old, with layers of tangled code that are costly to maintain, reduce business flexibility and require highly specialized talent, making the need for transformation urgent,” said Masashi Nakano, Accenture’s financial services lead for Asia Pacific. “Percipient’s unique capabilities strengthen our existing core modernization offerings, enabling banks to efficiently unlock new opportunities for growth, launch new products faster, and deepen customer engagement through cloud, data and artificial intelligence (AI).”
