IBM and Microsoft collaborate to modernize security operations

IBM and Microsoft announced a strengthened collaboration to help clients simplify and modernize their security operations and manage/protect their hybrid cloud identities. The partnership combines IBM Consulting’s cyber security services with Microsoft’s security technology portfolio to provide the tools and expertise needed to simplify end-to-end security operations and drive business growth, according to a press release.

“To successfully navigate the ever-evolving and increasingly complex digital landscape, security can no longer be an afterthought – it must be a foundational part of every organization’s core operations,” said Mark Hughes, global managing partner of cyber security services at IBM Consulting. “Our collaboration with Microsoft provides clients with a simplified, efficient and cost-effective approach to protect cloud workloads, and effectively manage the proliferation of threats organizations confront on a regular basis.”

IBM also announced a new collaboration with global technology company HCLTech to establish a generative AI center of excellence (CoE). The CoE, which will be available through HCLTech’s AI and Cloud Native Labs in London and Austin, Texas, will help global enterprises build custom AI applications, expand data capabilities and accelerate responsible AI workflows.

iGrafx partners with OJC Consulting to drive digital transformation and operational excellence

Process intelligence and process management vendor iGrafx formed a new partnership with consulting firm OJC Consulting to enhance digital transformation and operational excellence for clients across Europe. The collaboration combines iGrafx’s process mining and optimization capabilities with OJC Consulting’s expertise in IT, project management leadership and Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions, according to a press release. Together the two companies aim to deliver enhanced process insights, seamless change management and a full lifecycle approach to process improvement to drive efficiency and performance.

“Our partnership with iGrafx marks a significant milestone in our commitment to driving digital transformation and operational excellence for our clients,” commented Katarzyna Fonteyn, regional director of OJC Finland. “Together, we are excited to help businesses navigate their transformation journeys more effectively, ensuring they achieve their strategic goals and sustain growth.”

Appian appoints Manuel Melles to drive partnerships and business growth in Central Europe

Business process automation vendor Apian appointed Manuel Melles as regional vice president (RVP) for partners in Central Europe. Melles will lead and grow the Appian partner ecosystem in Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH) and France to deliver business transformation to customers through process automation, according to a press release. Most recently, Melles served as VP of partner management at Software AG where he successfully built and developed the partner ecosystem in the DACH region.

“We are delighted to welcome Manuel Melles to the Appian team,” commented Sabine Bührer, area VP Central Europe at Appian. “We are convinced that his extensive experience and strategic approach to building alliances will make a decisive contribution to strengthening our partnerships and further driving our growth in Central Europe.”

Nintex reflects on best new Automation Cloud features

Nintex’s APAC director of pre-sales, Chris Ellis, reflected upon the process management vendor’s standout feature updated in its Nintex Automation Cloud solution from the first half of 2024. “There have been some big, heavy-hit features like Nintex Tables, error handling and a number of translation settings and configurations, but there are a lot of smaller features that have been released that can really help [users] get the most out of their experience with Nintex Automation Cloud,” Ellis said.

According to Ellis, the standout feature updates from H1 2024 include:

  • Nintex Data allows users to store and reference data within Nintex Automation Cloud.
  • Translation/localizations added to allow users to change the application into various different languages.
  • The ability to export a draft workflow, whereas previously there was only the option to export a published workflow.
  • Workflow listing filters that allow users to filter by paused status or type, granting more development workflow options.

Rossum streamlines NetSuite integrations with 8Quanta partnership

Intelligent document processing (IDP) vendor Rossum announced a strategic partnership with finance consulting firm 8Quanta to reinforce its NetSuite integration capabilities for US clients. The collaboration combines Rossum’s AI-first document automation platform with 8Quanta’s track record in NetSuite implementation, optimization and support to automate the processing and validation of invoices and purchase orders, according to a press release.

“Together with 8Quanta, we are excited to offer a powerful solution specifically designed to address the automation challenges faced by finance teams working with NetSuite,” said David Jamieson, global alliances director at Rossum. “Our AI document processing platform, coupled with 8Quanta’s deep NetSuite knowledge, will streamline document workflows, reduce manual work and human errors and empower finance professionals to focus on strategic initiatives that drive business growth.”

Infosys BPM opens second office in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico

Infosys BPM, the business process management arm of Infosys, announced the inauguration of its second facility at the Montana Industrial Park in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. This new facility benefits from an investment of US $200,000 and support from the Puerto Rico Economic Incentive Fund, allocated by the Department of Economic Development and Commerce (DDEC). The new office will enable Infosys BPM to expand its capacity to serve more clients in the aerospace, healthcare, insurance, financial services and telecommunications industries, the firm stated. This will create employment opportunities for local talent skilled in knowledge-based data processing and customer service, generating 325 new jobs that will be added to the current workforce of 300 workers, it added.

“Our expanded new facility in Puerto Rico is another significant step towards accelerating innovation for global companies, as Infosys BPM continues to be laser-focused on providing value from great processes and compelling experiences,” said Anantha Radhakrishnan, CEO and managing director of Infosys BPM.

WalkMe celebrates winners of annual Realizer Awards

Digital adoption solutions provider WalkMe announced the winners of its annual Realizer Awards, recognizing companies and individuals driving successful change around technology. Duco launches end-to-end reconciliation capability for unstructured data

Automation platform vendor Duco launched a new end-to-end reconciliation capability for unstructured data. This is designed to address a major pain point for capital markets firms by enabling them to automate the extraction and processing of unstructured data formats, according to a press release. This will unlock efficiencies and cost savings by removing the need for multiple point solutions and slow, risk-prone manual keying of data between systems, it added.

“We’re solving a huge problem for the industry, one that clients have repeatedly told us lacks a robust and efficient solution on the market,” commented Michael Chin, CEO of Duco. “They can now ingest, transform, normalize, enrich and reconcile structured and unstructured data in Duco, automating data processing throughout its lifecycle.”
