Turkcell, Turkey’s largest mobile communications provider, signed a new agreement with Nokia to boost its digital transformation strategy and enhance efficiency through digital, intelligent and automated operations.

Turkcell will deploy Nokia’s artificial intelligence (AI) analytics solution to gain a consolidated, real-time view of network performance across domains serving three million fixed broadband subscribers across Turkey, with additional plans for future expansion.

Extending AI-driven automation

The collaboration aims to set a “new benchmark” for fixed analytics in Turkey by extending AI-driven automation beyond traditional network monitoring, according to the announcement.

Turkcell and Nokia will develop and validate machine learning use cases using agentic AI, applying predictive analytics and anomaly detection directly to live networks, along with working together on field trials, technology demonstrations and ecosystem collaboration to enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency and contribute to global fixed analytics standards.

The partnership will also enable Turkcell to detect and resolve network issues before they impact customers, with automation significantly reducing service disruptions, improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction, all in support of the firm’s broader digital transformation strategy.

Delivering automated recommendations

Using Nokia’s AI and analytics solution, Turkcell will leverage algorithms developed by Bell Labs (Nokia’s research labs) to deliver automated recommendations to operations and customer care teams. These will enable teams to resolve network issues remotely and pre-emptively, minimizing call handling times and improving first-call resolution rates.

“Turkcell’s adoption of Nokia’s AI-driven analytics marks a significant step toward a fully automated, intelligent and self-healing fixed network infrastructure,” commented Professor Dr Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, chief network technologies officer at Turkcell. The firm’s work with Nokia underscores a shared commitment to delivering seamless, high-quality broadband experiences, ensuring faster issue resolution, enhanced service reliability and long-term efficiency gains for millions of users, he added.

Modern networks must go beyond simply delivering connectivity – they need to be intelligent, automated and proactive in ensuring service quality, said Erez Sverdlov, VP cloud and network services, Europe at Nokia. “With AI/machine learning-driven analytics, we are setting a new benchmark for how service providers can enhance the customer experience while also optimizing operations.”
